Why Seedlings rootstocks?
Amorentia Estate in Politsi has flourished from seedling rootstock trees for more than 50 years, with well above average yields and pack out figures. We, therefore, saw potential in establishing our own Seedling Avocado Nursery.
Data extracted from a national benchmark study performed by Sourcebi Agriculture Data Analytics, shows the role that rootstocks play in the yield and quality in Avocado production.
Over a 5-year period, seedling rootstocks out-yielded clonal rootstocks in tons per hectare.
Amorentia Avocado Nursery offers West Indian / Guatemalan rootstocks grafted to your cultivar of choice. (Hass, Maluma, Lamb hass, Pinkerton, Ryan and Fuerte)
We guide our growers
We believe that it is critical for a serious Avocado farmer to pay attention to the fundamentals when establishing an Avocado orchard. We guide our growers in cultivar selection while offering land preparation and planting out advice. We also make a cash-flow available to all our growers to assist with the financial aspects of Avocado production.
